The food chain is again in the news because of its introduction of an all-new vegetarian menu. The brand new menu will be similar to that of before but there will be an addition of two new items. These two items are the Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme and the Black Bean Quesarito.

Combining both, the already-existing menu items and these two new items will create the new ‘Vegetarian Menu’. There are a total of 7000 Taco Bell in the whole United States and the introduction of the new menu will be applied to them. The vegetarian items in the Taco Bell menu were tasted earlier this year and that’s when they decided to add some changes in the veggie menu. The company will be launching an all-new advertising campaign in order to promote their new vegetarian menu.

In a statement shared by the company, it is stated that “While other fast-food restaurants are just now dipping their toes in the meatless space, Taco Bell has long been a friend to vegetarians. The bean burrito has been on the menu for 50 years and is Taco Bell’s second best-selling item.”

In a news release, the global chief food innovation officer of Taco Bell, Liz Matthews said, “At Taco Bell, we believe that vegetarian food shouldn’t be a compromise; it shouldn’t be limited to one item, and it shouldn’t be just for vegetarians.”

Reportedly Taco Bell is cutting out nine dishes from their menu. The faux-Mexican mashup food chain is famous for their delicious tacos and this change will definitely disappoint the customers.

Taco Bell is making a dramatic shift in their approach to cooking by removing items like Doritos Locos Tacos and Double Decker Tacos. These insane taco ideas were actually very loved by the taco lovers. Starting from 12th September there will be a removal of total nine items that will include Beefy Mini Quesadilla, Power Menu Burrito, XXL Grilled Stuff Burrito, Chipotle Chicken Loaded Griller, Double Decker Tacos, Fiery Doritos Locos Tacos, and Double Tostada, along with chips and salsa.

A press release was held for the discussion of this upcoming change and the spokesperson from the company sounded guilty while announcing it. He compared the decision of trimming the menu to a mid-life crisis. He said, “Have you ever had a moment where you just want to chop all your hair off, buy new clothes, and get a fresh, new start? Well, we kind of did a thing….”
