Mr. Alex Jones is currently banned from YouTube for violating the site’s policy on abusive behavior. He also is bannedĀ from many other social platforms for breaching conditions governing such conduct.

Alex Jones: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the Alex Jones Show. Today, we have a very special guest joining us, none other than Logan Paul. Logan has been in the news quite a bit lately, and we wanted to bring him on to discuss some of the controversies and negative comments surrounding him. Logan, welcome to the show.

Logan Paul: Thanks, Alex. Glad to be here.

Alex Jones: Logan, let’s get right into it. You’ve faced a lot of criticism in recent years, particularly surrounding some of your YouTube videos and your public persona. How do you respond to all these negative comments?

Logan Paul: Well, Alex, it’s definitely been a challenging journey. I’ve made some mistakes in the past, and I’ve faced a lot of backlash because of it. But I believe in personal growth and learning from those mistakes. I’ve taken steps to educate myself and make amends for my actions.

The Hope Not Hate campaign said:

It was a blunder for Mr. Paul to give a platform to an extremist. Well, the two-hour chat with Mr. Jones features on the Logan Paul podcast channel, currently has about 1.4 million subscribers, many of whom happen to be teens and 20s.

Legal action

While being interviewed, Mr. Paul giggles with Mr. Jones about his widely contested views, at one point going along with Mr. Jones’s claim that former US presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was crazy.

For that matter, Mr. Paul does challenge Mr. Jones, who is being sued for defamation by parents of children killed during the 2012 Sandy Hook school shooting, on his views on the massacre, saying his view of it as a falsification could become something terrible.

Joe Mulhall [[Senior Researcher at Hope Not Hate]

Joe criticized the decision to record and air the talk. Paul might have given a platform to an extremist simply to generate more views and appears to have mimicked his guest as amusement. Also, Paul described Jones as a far-right collusion theorist but still decided to have him on his show.

This leaves us with the thought that he knew what he was doing and seemingly didn’t seem to care much.
The show has targeted a new and younger audience.

Ban from Social platform

As you observe it carefully, the interview sets to add significant views as Mr. Paul has more than four million followers on Twitter, where the chat was previewed.

Moreover, 19 million people subscribe to Mr. Paul’s main YouTube channel. Also, Mr. Paul and YouTube ought to respond to questions for comment about the interview.

Meanwhile, most social platforms have taken action against Mr. Jones and his InfoWars media group.
Starting from with the list, Twitter has permanently banned Mr. Jones and his InfoWars channel for regularly violating its terms and conditions, followed by Facebook, Apple, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
And Paypal has also denied processing payments on behalf of InfoWars.

Former Youtube engineer reveals how Youtube killed Internet Explorer https://techozen.com/former-youtube-engineer-reveals-how-youtube-killed-internet-explorer/ https://techozen.com/former-youtube-engineer-reveals-how-youtube-killed-internet-explorer/#respond Tue, 07 May 2019 21:16:59 +0000 https://techozen.com/?p=1210

A few days ago a former Youtube engineer spilled beans on how a group of engineers plotted to kill Microsoft’s Internet Explorer through Youtube back in 2009 nearly 10 years ago.

Frustrated by the retarded Internet Explorer the group started to figure out how they can get rid of this aging browser. After a couple of months of discussion and planning the group came up with a plan to place a banner above the video that only shows up only to the IE 6 users saying that ” We will be phasing out the support for your browser soon “.

This all happened without Google’s permission as they figured out a way to bypass code enforcement by creating a special set of code which they called “OldTuber” that let them make direct changes to Youtube codebase easily.

After banner started showing up the press started to question that why Google wants to kill Internet Explorer when there is a large group of people who are still using the browser and to get out of this the group told everything to Google’s PR team. After which two Google Lawyers demanded to remove the banner immediately because this action was against the EU’s anti-competitive behavior but the team explained that they have programmed the banner to display random browsers and demonstrated it to the lawyers after which they went back to their work.

The engineer who led the team, Chris Zacharias said that “We saw an opportunity in front of us to permanently cripple IE6 that we might never get again”.

At that time Youtube was getting around 18% of its traffic especially from IE 6 which dipped massively within a month of this action.

Zacharis told on his blog that, within one month, over 10 % of global IE6 traffic dropped off while all other browsers increased in corresponding amounts”.

Soon after Youtube, the banner started to show up on other Google websites mainly Google Docs. Just after the banned went live one of the Docs team employees went with the plan to his manager to convince him to do the same.

After 4 years of wait the rebels won the battle, IE 6 user base dropped below 1% in the US which convinced Microsoft to finally kill the IE 6 and the irony was that Microsoft also got frustrated and launched a countdown website to accelerate the death and also distributed t-shirts and cake to celebrate the final moments of IE6.
